Spanish olive oil has long been a mainstay in the production of extra virgin olive oil. Oil has been a dominate player in production since the Roman Times. Even today half of the worlds olive oil is still grown and pressed in Spain. Recently Spain has been making significant strides in producing some of the worlds best olive oil!
